Eight awesome features you didn’t know about in Ubuntu
Ubuntu has caused GNU/Linux based operating systems to have many reviews recently, most concentrating on the more flashy parts such as the infamous rotating cube or wobbly windows provided by compiz fusion, rather than the things that actually make it such a enjoyable operating system to use.

Use a Linksys router instead of buying the xbox 360 wireless adapter
This is something that I found to be VERY convenient. Instead of purchasing the $100 wireless adapter for the Xbox 360, its much more cost efficient to mod your existing wireless router. If you happen to have a Linksys WRT54G, then this article can save you time and money. What you need to do, is visit www.dd-wrt.com and upgrade your router firmware to this modified firmware which will allow you to use your router in place of buying the $100 adapter as mentioned before. What the firmware will allow you to do is place your Linksys in "Client" mode, so that it connects to a wireless network rather than broadcasting one. Of course you will need 2 routers for this setup to work (essentially, they can be any router since the ddwrt firmware works on a range of routers). I found other articles that worked but with the other set-ups, I was unable to view/share files between my 360 and windows machines since my 360 was on a separate "sub-network", and you had to set up some fancy routing tables, which I could never get to work. The absolute easiest way is to follow the guide after the jump. I followed it work for work 1 time and had no problems. In the guide it actually sets up a Bridge between the router broadcasting the internet and the modified Linksys router. This way, every computer on the network (no matter if its on the Host Router or hooked up into the Linksys router) can see/view/share files with each other completely wire free. If you have any question please feel free to ask, because it took me a while to find this guide myself.
